“Creep” is a term that’s often referenced when it comes to triggers. But what is creep and how does it affect your accuracy?

Creep is the movement you feel in your trigger as you pull it back before the sears disengage and the shot breaks. Milspec triggers typically have a significant amount of creep, and after-market triggers are available with less.

Using a trigger with less creep can improve your accuracy. Eliminating as much creep as you can lessens the possibility of you disturbing the gun before the shot fires, so you can stay on target. To learn more and to see a comparison of significant creep and virtually no creep, check out the video below.

If you’re looking for a trigger with less creep, all RISE Armament triggers have reduced creep, but our RA-535 Advanced-Performance Trigger (shown in the video) has virtually no creep at all. Learn more about the RA-535 here.
